1000x Crypto is Tap Trading's high-volatility format. Rounds extend to 3-5 minutes, multiplier ceilings rise significantly, and win conditions narrow to specific threshold crossings rather than directional calls. This is the format for players who want higher variance.

The 1000x Crypto format

1000x Crypto rounds work differently from the 60-second up/down format:

1. You pick a market (typically BTC/USDT or ETH/USDT).
2. You select a multiplier threshold — the question is whether the price will move enough to "hit" that threshold during the round.
3. A 3-5 minute timer starts.
4. During the round, the live price is tracked against your threshold.
5. If the price crosses the threshold at any point during the round, you win with the corresponding multiplier payout. If it never crosses, you lose your stake.

This is structurally different from direction prediction. It's closer to a "will the market move at least X%" question — a bet on volatility, not just direction.

Why the multipliers can be so much higher

The 1000x Crypto name reflects the multiplier ceiling — payouts on rare large moves can reach 1000× the stake. This is possible because the win condition is much narrower:

• A modest move that wins a Tap Markets round (e.g. 0.1% in either direction) won't usually win a 1000x Crypto round.
• You're betting on a specific magnitude of move, not just direction.
• Larger multipliers correspond to less likely magnitudes.

The math underneath is approximately the same as options pricing — the multiplier reflects the implied probability of the threshold being crossed.

When 1000x Crypto is the right format

1000x Crypto is the right format when:

• The market is in a high-volatility regime where larger moves are more likely.
• You have a specific view on the magnitude of likely movement, not just direction.
• You want occasional high-multiplier payouts and are comfortable with frequent smaller losses.
• You've mastered standard Tap Markets and want a different challenge.

It's the wrong format when:

• You want consistent session results — 1000x has much higher variance.

Risk considerations specific to 1000x

1000x Crypto has higher variance than other Market Games™ formats. A few things to note:

• Most rounds will lose. The expected hit rate on threshold-crossing bets is significantly lower than direction prediction.
• Wins are larger. But they're less frequent, so session-level swings are bigger.
• Bankroll matters more. A 1000x session can include a long stretch of losses before a big win — you need enough cushion to stay in the game.
• Don't increase stake to chase the big multiplier. Sizing should reflect variance, not optimism.
