Market Games™ is the brand name for Tap Trading's family of live-market gameplay formats. Each format takes the same core idea — gameplay driven by live cryptocurrency prices — and applies it to a different round structure. Here's what each one does.

The Market Games™ family at a glance

Market Games™ groups together every gameplay format Tap Trading offers, all of them sharing one property: outcomes are driven by live cryptocurrency market data. That's the throughline. What changes from format to format is the round structure — duration, payout shape, number of assets, and whether the player is racing the clock or racing other assets.

Tap Markets — the canonical 60-second round

Tap Markets is the format that defined the category. A single asset, a 60-second window, an up-or-down call, instant settlement. Every other Market Games™ format is a variation on this skeleton.

Turbo Markets — shorter rounds, faster sessions

Turbo Markets compresses the round window from 60 seconds down to 15 or 30 seconds. The mechanic is identical to Tap Markets — pick a direction, watch the timer, settle on the close — but the pace is dramatically faster.

Turbo Markets is for players who want maximum session density: more rounds per minute, more decisions per session. The shorter window also makes market-reading harder, so most experienced players treat Turbo as a different skill than standard Tap Markets.

Crypto Race — coins compete against each other

Crypto Race changes the question. Instead of "will BTC go up or down in the next 60 seconds?", the question becomes "which of these four coins will perform best in the next 60 seconds?"

The player picks a winner from a small slate (typically 3-4 assets) and wins if their pick has the highest percentage change at the end of the window. This rewards relative-strength reading rather than absolute direction reading.

Crypto Race is the format most directly comparable to traditional prediction markets in structure.

1000x Crypto — extended rounds with higher multipliers

1000x Crypto stretches the round duration (typically 3-5 minutes) and raises the multiplier ceiling significantly in exchange for narrower win conditions. The player isn't just predicting direction — they're predicting whether the price will hit a specific multiplier threshold during the round.

This format is closer in spirit to volatility-betting than direction-betting, and the payouts can be substantially higher on a winning round. It's also higher-variance, so the risk page applies with extra force.

What every Market Games™ format shares

Regardless of which format you play, certain properties are constant across the entire Market Games™ family:
